Last week at Caixin’s Asia New Vision Forum Second Edition, 2024, The Baer Faxt President Luyang Jiang moderated “Growth and Sustainability: Asia’s Art Ecosystem”, a panel discussion featuring Emi Eu, Executive Director, STPI – Creative Workshop & Gallery in Singapore, Adeline Ooi, Cultural Strategist and Former Director of Asia, Art Basel, and Lorenz Helbling, Founder of ShanghART Gallery.
Together, the four discussed the evolution and expansion of Asia’s rich contemporary arts culture, tackling timely questions on the region as it becomes increasingly critical and influential to the global arts economy. What drives the growth and sustainability of Asia’s art industry? What challenges arise in aligning artistic innovation with economic realities?
